MG Captured is a London-based sports photography and videography service. We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.

Bookings: name, email, phone number, session date and any notes you provide when booking a shoot. Payment for sessions is currently arranged directly with us (not taken automatically through this website), so we don't collect or store any card details.
Reviews: name, star rating and review text you voluntarily submit for public display on the site.
Direct contact: anything you send us via Instagram DM, WhatsApp or email.
Technical: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising pixels.
Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing your booking and delivering your shoot.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): fraud prevention, site security and responding to enquiries.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): retaining financial records for HMRC compliance (6 years) where payment has been taken.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where you voluntarily submit a review for public display.
Firebase (Google LLC): booking and review data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses apply. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Cloudinary: video content shown in our portfolio is hosted by Cloudinary Ltd. cloudinary.com/privacy
Instagram / WhatsApp (Meta): messages sent via Instagram DM or WhatsApp are processed by Meta under their own privacy policy. We have no control over that processing.
Booking records: 6 years where a payment/financial record is involved (HMRC requirement), otherwise deleted once the booking is complete unless you ask us to keep it on file.
Reviews: until you request removal.
Direct messages (Instagram/WhatsApp/email): kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any right, email mgcaptured@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your data you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
